The Queen City has a rich culinary history, and that tradition is just as vibrant today. Whether you enjoy low-key holes-in-the-wall bars or highbrow fine dining, you are sure to find something that fills you up in style. A variety of spots are easily accessible from The 333 Suites, including 8th Street mainstays Silverglades Deli, a casual eatery with traditional deli fare, and Arnold’s Bar & Grill, Cincinnati’s oldest continually operating bar offering live music, dining options with local flavour, and lots of city history. Crown Republic Gastropub and Rosie’s Italian are just steps away, and a few blocks further you’ll find Knockback Nat’s—a colourful neighbourhood bar with pub food that’s great for watching the game on TV.

For something a bit more refined, check out Metropole on Walnut across the street from the Aronoff Center for the Arts, the cozy and romantic Sotto, or its sister restaurant Boca, billed by Travel + Leisure Magazine as one of the best French restaurants in America. Other upscale spots of note include Court Street Kitchen at Court Street Plaza, and The 1931 at Netherland Plaza, the latter of which is a remarkable example of Art Deco architecture and a buzzy spot to enjoy martinis and an extensive wine list while listening to live jazz on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Entertainment

The 333 Suites offers convenient proximity to a variety of rich and exciting entertainment venues. Two blocks north, you can try your luck at the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, offering traditional table games, slots, poker, dining options, and regularly scheduled live events. The Aronoff Center for the Arts is home to several resident companies, including Broadway in Cincinnati and Cincinnati Music Theatre. Music Hall in Over-the-Rhine, built in 1878, is a National Historic Landmark and home to the Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and May Festival Chorus.

Renowned music acts and nationally known comedians are regularly featured at the Taft Theatre, and the Andrew J. Brady Music Center is a great spot for rocking out on the riverfront. Sports fanatics will enjoy checking out riverfront venues Paycor Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals; Great American Ball Park, home of the Cincinnati Reds; and Heritage Bank Center, home of the Cincinnati Cyclones. Further afield in Over-the-Rhine, TQL Stadium is home to FC Cincinnati.

Getting Around

Downtown Cincinnati and the adjacent neighbourhood of Over-the-Rhine are walk-able and offer beautiful architecture and vistas to admire morning, noon, and night. The city also features the Cincinnati Connector, a free streetcar that travels down to The Banks, offering convenient access to Smale Park and the riverfront, as well as points north in OTR. The nearest station is two blocks to the west at 8th and Main, offering northbound streetcar rides to points including the Hamilton County Courthouse and Court Street Plaza; Main and Vine Streets in Over-the-Rhine, with hot dining spots and venues like The Know Theatre, Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, and Ghost Baby; and further north—Washington Park, the Brewing Heritage Trail, and historic Findlay Market, Ohio’s oldest continually operated public market.

If two wheels are more your style, Red Bike is the Queen City’s official bike-share program, and its nearest station is just outside The 333 Suites’ front door. Red Bike features city bikes that are more robust than a traditional road bike, as well as some limited e-bikes. Lime and Bird also offer electric scooters in Downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine. A variety of options are available for business travellers and people heading to and from the airport. Executive Transportation offers regular shuttle service to and from the Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky International Airport. And the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) 2X Airporter route makes several pickup/drop-off stops in Cincinnati’s Central Business District.
